SCHOOL HOLIDAYS DECEMBER 2025 & JANUARY 2026
Sailing Fun Days
Sailing fun days are a chance for your child to experience sailing on a small dinghy sail boat with their coach and friends. This gives them an introduction to sailing, and a chance to explore the harbour and undertake some onshore activities. This is a great way to fill in a day with a new experience, and to test the waters if you are thinking of enrolling your child in Learn to Sail. And a fun way to keep them occupied doing that last minutes Christmas shopping.
Courses are subject to minimum/maximum numbers. Weather is also factors. If we are unable to run on water activities due to safety/weather, we can run an onshore day to keep them entertained, or differ to another day.
Course is $69 per day, 9am-3pm. Coaches, boat, life jacket, helmet and spray jacket usage included.
Learn to Sail Level One
Level One Learn to Sail, is a Yachting New Zealand Curriculum that teaches young sailors the very basics of sailing. We run this course in the school holidays over a week. Monday to Friday 9am - 3.30pm. Some children will be ready to progress into Level two following this course, others may need to take a little longer. This depends on your childs comprehension, physicality, and ability to follow instructions. Your coaches will discuss their progress and where they sit during the course.
$399 per course. Coaching, boat, helmet, lifejacket and spray jacket usage included. Level One Yachting NZ book also provided.
Learn to Sail Level One
Level Two Learn to Sail, is a Yachting New Zealand Curriculum that improves and speeds up what they have learnt in Level One. From the basics you start to hone those skills, making them faster, cleaner and alot less stressful. We run this course in the school holidays over a week. Monday to Friday 9am - 3.30pm. Some children will be ready to progress into Level three following this course, others may need to take a little longer. This depends on your childs comprehension, physicality, and ability to follow instructions. Your coaches will discuss their progress and where they sit during the course. If they chose to move to Level 3 Learn to Race, they will need to get their own boat, or if one is available rent one through BOPSAT for a term.
