WOW is a sailing experience like no other — empowering women of all levels to get out on the water, build skills and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

From October to April, the WOW programme includes Thursday evening sails, on-shore skills sessions, and opportunities to grow both on and off the water.

We offer two divisions to suit your confidence and experience:

• Training Division – Ideal for newcomers who want to learn the ropes in a relaxed and supportive crew environment.
• ​​​​​​​​​​Racing Division – For women keen to build upon gained skills and experience the thrill of competition.

No sailing experience is needed — just a sense of adventure and willingness to give it a go! After sailing, we gather at the clubhouse for spot prizes, social fun, food, drinks and tall tales.

Plus WOW is also a gateway into the wider world of sailing at Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club, with chances to join club events, regattas, and year-round sailing opportunities.​​​​​​
