We are a fun group from beginners to internationally experienced sailors. We race hard and enjoy the after-race social gathering where we share knowledge and swap stories, as we build our community of enthusiastic sailors.​​​​​​​

The Burton Sails Summer Twilight Series

Held on Wednesday evenings, we race over summer both pre and post Christmas. After the racing, crews gather at the Club to swap stories and tall tales - and enjoy a drink or two!​​​​​​​

The Friday Night Fun Rally

Alternate Friday evenings over summer have a casual sail for all Keelers and Trailer Yachts. It's a perfect time to introduce friends, workmates and family to the joys of sailing! 

The Burton Short Handed Series & Single Handed Race

Growing in popularity each year; come test your racing skills with minimal crew.

The Burnsco Marine Winter Series

Crew

Keeler boats quite often have space for additional crew.  If you don't have your own boat, but would like to get out on the water as crew, as a member you may be able to find a position by going through the TYPBC Crew Finder on facebook.  Please make sure you list your experience, or lack of, as skippers may have positions for beginners or require experienced crew.

The Bluewater Series 

A five race series, where you start in the harbour, head out to sea, and around one or multiple islands; this bringing its own challenges and fun.

The Tauranga Marina Society Karewa Series

A four race series, out to sea and around Karewa Island. We also collaborate with our WOW sailors, and for some women this will be an exciting first experience.​​​​​​​

Destination Weekend

Where will it be this year? A race to a place, an overnight stay in a sheltered harbour, then home again. Fun, fun, fun!
