We are in for some very wet and windy weather over the next few days. Below is a metservice forecast for our area

*** STORM WARNING IN FORCE***

Cyclone Cook lies near the Mercury Islands at 3pm Thursday, then quickly moves South to lie near Tauranga at 6pm Thursday.

North East 25 Knots, raising to 35 knots Thursday Morning, then to clockwise 50 knots but 60 knots near the centre of Cyclone Cook Thursday afternoon.

Becoming NorthWest 20 knots Thursday evening.

Sea becoming very high near Cyclone Cook.

NorthEast Swell rising to 6 metres for a time.

Very poor visibility in heavy rain on Thursday with possible downpours and thunderstorms.

3 DAY OUTLOOK**

NorthWest 15 knots becoming Sunday Variable 10 knots. Heavy NorthEast swell easing Friday.
