Only One Sail Left for 2009-10 Mills Reef WOW Series

Our last race will be on Thursday the 11th of March.  Come dressed up and have a blast!

Don't forget to register by Tuesday the 9th (check out our Registration & Sign In page of this website for details.) 

Here are the current series results for the Racing Division after Race 8.  Please note that these are still provisional and have had the each boat's worst result so far removed:

1. General Jackson - 13 Points
2. Ballistic - 18 Points
3. Rigmarole - 22 Points
4. Mistress/Sniper/Bee Bad - 24 Points
5. Silas Marner - 32 Points
6. Kaimai Flyer - 37 Points

Welcome!

Women on Water (WOW) began in 2001 with two female members of TYPBC who saw a need to encourage women to try sailing in a fun, safe and non-threatening environment. Since then, Kath Brown and Lesley Grant’s vision, boosted by the assistance of sponsors and a raft of volunteers, has grown rapidly. Taking place every second Thursday evening during the summer, WOW sees women of all ages and skill levels taking to the Tauranga Harbour to e njoy participation in a sport that has put New Zealand on the world stage.

2009-10 Season Calendar

The WOW Committee hopes that you are as excited as we are for our upcoming season. It promises to be another action-packed affair both on and off the water.

Especially exciting this year will be a designated WOW race on Sunday January 17^th in which boats will be going outside the harbour in a race around A Beacon - the first time ladies have raced outside the harbour!
