Europe

The Europe dinghy is a high-performance monotype yacht which started life as a particularly successful international moth-class design and quickly went on to become a highly popular worldwide class in it's own right.

This attractive yacht is well known for its speed and superb handling
characteristics. It is suitable for sailors of all ages between 45 and 80 kg. The hulls are moulded fiberglass, and the free-standing mast, carbon fiber, making for minimal maintenance all round.

It is presently the women's monotype Olympic class but is raced in club, national and world championships by both men and women. In New Zealand, fleets exist in Auckland, Tauranga, Nelson and Christchurch. Second-hand boats can be obtained for between $700 and $4500.
